For Summer 2012 we will be focusing on CoachArt as our featured charity! This amazing organization improves quality of life for children suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses by providing them with free lessons in the arts and athletics! Handstand Kids are major advocates for any organization that can support the health and well being of kids around the world and we love that CoachArt is doing their part to help the community in Los Angeles.
We partnered with CoachArt in the Spring for the launch of our Baking Cookbook and we really appreciate their support. We highly recommend heading over to their website and checking out all of the programs that they have going on!
If you’ve checked out our Charity of the Month feature, then you know this month’s charity is CoachArt. We’re so excited to be working with CoachArt, and if you haven’t already seen it, CoachArt clients will be attending our Baking Around the World launch party!! Even better – we’ll be donating 10% of all sales made from books at the party to the organization.

The KidSafe Seafood program highlights the connections between ocean and human health to promote a better understanding of what species and which quantities of seafood are best for children to eat. The program encourages parents to diversify their children’s diets with a variety of environmentally friendly seafood options.
KidSafe Seafood educates and empowers families to engage in sustainable lifestyles that advance both ocean and human health.
Do your children eat a lot of seafood? What types? Tell us about it on our Facebook wall!
It’s the end of the month and we’re hoping you haven’t forgotten about our Charity of the Month, Share Our Strength®. This national non-profit organization is ending childhood hunger in America by connecting children with the nutritious food they need to lead healthy, active lives. Through its No Kid Hungry®Campaign—a national effort to end childhood hunger in America by 2015—Share Our Strength ensures children in need are enrolled in federal nutrition programs, invests in community organizations fighting hunger, teaches families how to cook healthy, affordable meals, and builds public-private partnerships to end childhood hunger, at the state and city level.
